10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 1995 Facts

8. The Opener Had A Pair Of Substitutions

The Underdogs-Bodydonnas match looked like the X Division of 1995, as the likes of Hakushi, Chris "Skip" Candido, Marty Jannetty, and the 123 Kid exchanged high-risk, high-impact maneuvers for 20 minutes. It truly is one of the most underrated matches in Survivor Series history, and out of this world by the company standards of the time.

There were two notable substitutions among the assembled bodies. On the babyface side, Bob Holly filled in for recent flop Avatar, played by Holly's future Hardcore title nemesis Al Snow. Snow's debut under a Mortal Kombat-style mask bombed in front of a live Raw crowd. He was swapped out for Holly, who reportedly was openly grumbling about getting left out of potential pay-per-view paydays, despite his reliability and consistency.

On the heel side, freshly-turned Kid came in as a "mystery partner", but in reality had subbed in for Jean-Pierre Lafitte. Lafitte was out having hernia surgery, and would subsequently leave the company, owing to a few notable altercations with the Kliq earlier that fall.
