Completing the set of Survivor Series debuts was one Flash Funk, WWE's sanitized attempt at a wrestling Dolemite. Prior to his rebirth as a dance-happy funkmeister, Flash was 2 Cold Scorpio, graceful high-flyer and equal-opportunity trash talker who brought a less-gaudy smoothness to his broad international profile.

For the previous two years, Scorpio was a fixture in ECW, where he reigned multiple times as Television champion. The night before Survivor Series, Scorpio went heel one last time after it was announced that he was leaving the company. He challenged any wrestler to an impromptu loser-leaves match, and won three quick squashes over Devon Storm, JT Smith, and Hack Myers, ostensibly driving all of them from the company, out of Scorpio's spiteful whimsy.

Then per the story, Scorpio got too cocky and lost a match to new sensation Louie Spicolli, after Scorpio wagered that he would leave for one year if he lost. Once 2 Cold went down in defeat, Taz emerged to give him a going-away message: "Bye bye, Flash. Get the f--k out of my house, b--ch!"
