2. It Marked Yokozuna's Last WWE Match
Four years earlier, a much slimmer (but still super-sized) Yokozuna emerged on the WWE scene, due to enjoy a major push as the monster heel of the present and future. Two WWE Championship reigns and some dangerous weight gain later, Yokozuna's lucrative WWE ride came to an end at the 1996 Survivor Series.
His last match was a rather unsatisfying elimination bout where he, Flash Funk, Savio Vega, and mystery partner Jimmy Snuka went to a double-DQ with Vader, Faarooq, and the impostor versions of Razor Ramon and Diesel.
Yoko was then pulled from all remaining dates and sent home to lose weight, tipping the scales at well over 600 pounds at the time. He actually remained on WWE's payroll into 1998, but was unable to drop enough pounds to satisfy concerned WWE officials. At the time of Yokozuna's death in October 2000, he reportedly weighed 580 pounds.
