The chaotic aftermath became the stuff of legend. An incensed Hart smashed TV monitors at ringside, before cutting an angry swath to the backstage area, where McMahon and his entourage were already holed up in a locked office. Hart actually tried to break down the door, but to no avail.

After a sternly-worded command from The Undertaker, McMahon and a cadre of his closest officials soon went to talk to Bret. By now, you know the story: after a tense argument, the confrontation ended with McMahon getting drilled right upside the face.

Hart legitimately broke his right hand delivering the uppercut, close to one of his knuckles. The shot was enough to knock McMahon into a dazed and confused state, requiring help from son Shane and others to stand up and walk out of the locker room.
