10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 2000 Facts
6. Lita Only Needed Two Stitches To Close Her Head Wound
Blood was seemingly more common in the Attitude Era than arm-drags, but it wasn't often that crimson was spilled in women's matches. Though that's exactly what happened when Right to Censor's Ivory defended the Women's Championship against Lita at Survivor Series 2000.
Early on in the sub-five minute match, Lita began gushing blood from near her left eye, as though her face was an elevator at the Overlook Lodge. The blood flow was not from a planned blade job, but rather a little too snug of a strike from Ivory.
Incredibly, Lita only needed two stitches to close up what most would figure was a gaping head wound. It certainly looked much worse than a simple nick, given how much blood came squirting out.
