With all due respect to Mark Henry, it's astounding that he's had a 21-year run with WWE. For the first half of his tenure, Henry underachieved, failing to live up to the high expectations that came with the ten-year contract that he signed. The 2011-13 years for Henry showcased him at his finest, as the ultimate brute of a monster heel, but before then? Not the most consistent of runs.

To give you an idea of just how inconsistent Henry's wrestling career had been to that point, his appearance on Eric Bischoff's team at Survivor Series 2003 was his first pay-per-view match since No Way Out 2000, in which he wrestled Viscera.

Henry spent much of the time in between working in Ohio Valley Wrestling, and had even taken a hiatus from the business following the death of his mother in 2001. He remained employed by WWE the entire time, and would eventually come through on the early faith that Vince McMahon had in him.
