The run of ailments continues, with the reigning ECW Champion getting the worst of it. Hardy lasted 14 minutes in his elimination match before taking a pin from Mark Henry.

Given the injury at hand, it's a minor miracle that Hardy even worked the show, as well as the events surrounding it. Two weeks before the pay-per-view, while working a match with Finlay, Hardy was reported to have torn the PCL in his knee, to go along with strained ligaments.

Amazingly, Hardy seemed to work a full schedule in that time frame, despite an injury that would have put a lot of wrestlers out of action for a time. He remained active early in 2009, dropping the belt to Jack Swagger before embarking on the hate-feud with brother Jeff.
