10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 2014 Facts
2. Ziggler Became The Fourth Man To Survive From 3-On-1, Or Greater
Sting interference notwithstanding, it was quite a feather in the cap for Dolph Ziggler to be the ultimate survivor against the odds, coming back from down three men to survive in the main event. It was a feelgood moment, until 1) Ziggler was rendered "just another guy" by early 2015, and 2) most came to the conclusion that he was probably only a placeholder for the injured Roman Reigns in that match.
Nonetheless, Ziggler became the fourth man in Survivor Series elimination match history to run the table from being down at least three-on-one. The others are Razor Ramon (five-on-one in 1994, though they were all count-out eliminations), Big Show (four-on-one in 1999), and Ric Flair (three-on-one in 2006).
One of Flair's opponents in that 2006 match? Ziggler, still as Spirit Squad member Nicky. He was the only one not felled by Flair, instead taking the fall to Dusty Rhodes' Bionic Elbow.
