10 Fascinating WWE WrestleMania 11 Facts
4. Diesel Claims That Michaels Took The Jackknife Wrong On Purpose
It wasn't any surprise that Diesel won the match over Michaels at WrestleMania; the design all along was to give intended long-term champ Diesel a landmark win in a high-caliber showcase at the flagship show, and Diesel's little buddy was just the man to get him to such heights. Despite the low point of McMahon's order backfiring, the match went off as well as it possibly could've.
There is, however, the matter of the finish. Michaels took Diesel's Jackknife powerbomb, but performed the bump in an unconventional manner, nearly landing on his feet before quickly flopping to finish the landing. Nash would claim that Michaels did this blatantly as a means of lobbying for Nash's top spot in the company, that the subterfuge was done to make Nash look foolish and inferior.
Nash also concedes he doesn't hold a grudge against Michaels for doing so, because the environment was one that rewarded cutthroat behavior.
