There are people who scoff at Bigelow for doing the honors for 36-year-old ex-linebacker that had never worked a wrestling match in his life, but where's the logic in that? Taylor was a legit heavyweight that stood 6'3", and was imposing enough that he would look believable next to most wrestlers. It's not David Arquette or Jay Leno; it's a man that broke quarterbacks in half for a living.

Another reason not to thumb one's nose at Bigelow is his payout, which totaled a quarter of a million dollars. For 12 minutes work and that kind of money, anyone without an insufferable ego would put Taylor over. Hell, they'd put anyone over if promised that much money, football stud or not.

Bigelow earned every cent, salvaging the main event of the biggest show of the year by carrying a novice to a credible, hard-hitting match, and doing so with nary a blemish.
