Turns out that "The Conqueror" might have been another amateur wrestling wizard altogether. Angle spins a compelling tale of Undertaker being possibly willing to sacrifice his WrestleMania streak, which sat at 13-0 at the dawn of 2006. Angle was reigning World Heavyweight Champion, and Undertaker was looking to finally have that "five star match" at WrestleMania that had eluded him to this point.

According to Angle, Undertaker was very interested in working with him at WrestleMania 22, potentially putting him over to end the streak, as long as he got the 'Mania classic that he coveted for himself. McMahon, however, killed off the idea, and Angle doesn't disagree with the boss' decision; Angle speaks to many fan sentiments when he says the streak should have been eternal.

Instead, Angle and Undertaker had their match at No Way Out 2006, which was arguably the company's best match of the entire calendar year.
