In the previous list for WrestleMania 24, you learned (assuming you read it) that "Brother Nero" was due to win the Money in the Bank ladder match, which would assuredly have led to his first reign as WWE Champion. When Hardy flunked a Wellness test weeks before WrestleMania, those plans were put on hold, but ultimately his championship dreams did come to fruition.

That said, missing WrestleMania 24 cost Hardy a chance to actually be on the winning end of a WrestleMania match, something he's never gotten to enjoy. The loss to the future "Broken Matt" in a rather brutal encounter (which was sadly bereft of drones, boats, and rocket launchers) sunk Jeff to 0-5 at the event.

Hardy isn't the first performer to begin his WrestleMania run 0-5: Big Show lost his first six WrestleMania matches before finally winning at WrestleMania 22.
