5. The Plan Was For Undertaker And Triple H To Go On Last

The theme of this list seems to be, "trust your gut and listen to it." Up until a week before WrestleMania 27, the plans were for Triple H's quest to shatter The Undertaker's 18-0 WrestleMania record to end the night. The internal feeling was that Undertaker's Streak was seen at that point as bigger than either of the two championship matches, and that putting the match on earlier would burn the crowd out the rest of the way (see Hogan/Rock at X8, Undertaker/Michaels at 25).

Instead, the match went on third from the end, and did what most expected, electrifying the crowd to the point where simply nothing could follow it. Perhaps the idea was to have Rock be the one to stand tall at the end of the night, given the amount of zeroes on his price tag. From a quality standpoint, though, it didn't do the show any favors.
