Was it the greatest WrestleMania moment since Daniel Bryan's celebration at the end of XXX? Absolutely. The fact that Daniel Bryan's shoulders were being pinned to the mat at the end of it was the sort of poetry that WWE lucks into from time to time. At WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston finally made it to the top of the mountain, pinning the Planet's Champion to become WWE Champion for the very first time.

Xavier Woods has said that his whole aim with New Day was to get Kofi to that position, and it is difficult to look at Kofi's run without giving a huge assistance to the popularity of the trio. How surprising is it therefore that Kingston's win at WM35 was New Day's first of any kind at 'Mania? Since coming together at the back end of 2014, New Day's primary role at WrestleMania has been hosting and/or losing, be it to The League of Nations in trios action or falling short in battle royals.

The New Day has resurrected Kofi Kingston's career, so it is somewhat fitting that the first New Day victory of any kind at WrestleMania was Kofi achieving his dream. It is important to note that this is their first 'Mania victory since coming together as a trio, of course. After all, who can forget Kofi teaming with Big Show, Santino and Kane to defeat The Corre way back in 2011?
