The debate over whether Charlotte Flair should have beaten Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36 will rage on and on, for all eternity. It shouldn't, of course, because there isn't an argument on the planet that makes such a booking decision okay. Ripley should have won, end of story.

But she didn't. Charlotte Flair was the victor in what was an excellent match at WM36, taking her streak of consecutive world title matches at WrestleMania to five. That is a number that stands way ahead of all other women and sits just behind John Cena (seven) in the all-time list, although Charlotte is the only person to compete for a world title in her first five 'Mania appearances. Well, not including her cameo as a hired goddess for Triple H, of course.

More importantly, at WrestleMania 36 Charlotte became the first woman in 'Mania history to win a title on her birthday. In the grand scheme of things, having excellent birthday memories is up there with career achievements, so kudos to The Queen for smashing these two birds with a single stone. LOL CHARLOTTE WINZ, in the most complete of ways.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
