3. Bret Hart Found Out The Day Before That He Was Putting Yokozuna Over
Hart was under the assumption that he would be retaining his WWE Championship over Yokozuna at WrestleMania 9. Up until the day before the show, nobody had told him any different. Then he received a call from McMahon, who beckoned Hart to his hotel suite for a business conversation.
Hart was stunned when McMahon told him he wanted "The Hitman" to drop the belt to Yokozuna the next day. The boss revealed his plan to have Hogan upend Yokozuna moments later to capture the belt himself, leaving Hart confused and bewildered.
Hart reasons that Hogan probably knew before even returning to the company that he'd be getting the championship back at WrestleMania. But the titleholder himself only found out about the plan with barely 24 hours notice.
