2. Bret Hart Claims Yokozuna "Went Home" Early
In true Hitman fashion, Hart was determined to make others see the error of their ways by putting on the best match on a given show, re-enforcing his worth. Having a high-caliber match with the gargantuan Yokozuna would be a challenge for Hart, given that he was wrestling a super-heavyweight and not a fellow quicker-paced technician.
Hart says he devised a clever match that would leave the big spots for the closing moments, while accentuating each man's strengths. Perhaps due to exhaustion, Yokozuna went into the finishing sequence earlier than Hart was intending to, which left Hart angry that Yoko's forceful choice stripped the match of some of Hart's best-designed spots.
Hart wanted a chance to show Vince that he'd made a mistake in backing Hogan, and ruefully, Hart felt his planned match didn't reflect that.
