The winner of the women's Royal Rumble seems a relatively open-and-shut case, and yet rumours still swirl of huge names making an unexpected appearance to snatch victory.
Paige was forced to retire from wrestling due to a serious neck injury in April 2018. However, just like Edge in the men's Rumble, an improbable recovery is being predicted to allow for an appearance. After all, we've seen Daniel Bryan recover from a seemingly career-ending injury, why not the youngest women's champion in WWE history?
Some may argue that the 27-year-old, who recently signed a new five-year contract with WWE, will simply remain in her role on WWE Backstage, but there have been a whole host of plausible names suggested for this year's Rumble; including Lana, Nia Jax, and Stephanie McMahon, so if she's cleared don't rule out a fairytale return for Paige.
