10 Feuds That Made WWE

9. Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage

In the late 1980's, Hulk Hogan was obviously the top guy in the business, transcending everything to become a pop culture icon. In the wrestling business, his face pops were astronomical, still a couple years away from beginning to wane as some of the younger "Hulkamaniacs" grew up and began cheering for other people. Randy Savage was becoming the clear-cut #2 face in the WWF, with face pops growing larger and larger by the week. They had to be involved together somehow, but it was the journey to their feud that was so fun to watch. Hogan was recruited by Savage's valet, Miss Elizabeth, to save Randy during a three-on-one attack at the hands of The Honky Tonk Man, Bret Hart, and Jim Neidhart. This began Hogan and Savage's "Mega Powers" team. The two biggest faces in the company, joining forces. It was a bold move, but it paid off. The fans loved every minute of it. Hogan was right there at Savage's side at WrestleMania 4 when Macho won the WWF Title for the very first time. Everything was going well, until jealousy kicked in. Savage was getting more and more concerned about the attention that Hogan was paying Miss Elizabeth, and it was clouding his better judgement. Eventually, he couldn't control his jealousy anymore, and he attacked Hogan. The Mega Powers exploded, and it gave us a fantastic build for their match at WrestleMania 5. From there, we got plenty of rumors and scuttlebutt that Hogan and Savage (specifically on Savage's part) didn't like each other in real life, and that dislike lasted for the majority of the time up until the day Savage passed away, even though they spent a lot of time working together during their time in WCW, both as faces and as members of the nWo.
