10 FIERCEST Online Wrestling Rivalries

1. Jim Cornette Vs. Vince Russo

Illogic versus logic.

Revolution versus tradition.

The new school versus the old.

North vs. south.

WrestleMania XXVIII, in this streaming age, will forever hold the record of the highest-drawing pay-per-view of all time.

Unless.

Unless the legendary rivalry between Jim Cornette and Vince Russo ever made it to FiteTV. Several thousand wrestling fans would pay a similar amount of money to see this thing erupt.

Astonishingly, given the generational divide that informs this legendary, endless feud, Vince Russo is older than Jim Cornette. Jim Cornette hates Vince Russo so much that it has physically aged him. Cornette has, for two defining decades, raged against Russo for what he deems his assassination of the pro wrestling industry. Goofy gimmicks; tasteless storylines; career-destroying characters: Cornette blames Russo for the state the industry is in. Cornette has legit threatened to murder and or maim Russo, inviting various legal proceedings in the process.

The problem with any squabble between non-wrestlers is that, naturally, it cannot manifest as a pro wrestling encounter. Cornette disagrees, and last year called out Russo to a neutral location - "no cops, no guns, no knives" - to settle the feud, once and for all. "I said no guns, no knives - but I got a bat," Cornette went on.

Swerve!

Who Would Win: Jim Cornette. Even if Cornette had lost both of his arms and legs, unadulterated rage would see him crawl across concrete, using his teeth, just to rip chunks out of Russo's shinbones.
