10 Finishing Moves That Never Made It To WWE

There are contrary beliefs on what happened to El Generico following his disappearance from the independent circuit in 2013. Some believe, as Kevin Owens has claimed, that he emigrated to Mexico where he now works in an orphanage. Others have speculated that the former ROH Tag Team Champion is in fact Sami Zayn.

For the purpose of this list we will assume the latter.

While Zayn currently employs the Helluva kick, a move Generico had similarly performed as the Olé Kick, Generico's previous finisher is notable by its absence. Prior to arriving in WWE, Zayn performed a variety of brainbusters to finish opponents off, most notably, the devastating brainbuster to the ring apron and the Brainbusstaaaahhh!, a vertebrae-compressing brainbuster delivered to the top turnbuckle.

Given the potential for serious neck trauma these moves could cause, it's unsurprising WWE shied away from allowing Zayn to employ them in the company.

Either that, or the real Generico is currently practicing them on orphans somewhere in Guadalajara.
