10 Finishing Moves That Never Made It To WWE
2. Daniel Bryan - Cattle Mutilation
Cattle Mutilation sounds like a strange choice of moniker for the finishing move of WWE’s most famous abstainer of animal products, but the murderous-sounding submission manoeuvre was the then American Dragon’s preferred choice of finisher for years before finally arriving in WWE.
The move, a bridging double chicken wing, was used by Bryan during his time on NXT in 2010, but was quickly deemed incompatible with the WWE product by Vince McMahon.
Believing to it be too difficult to observe Bryan’s opponents pained grimace while in the hold, he was instructed to stop using it. Bryan attempted to bust it out almost by instinct in a match with The Miz and John Morrison later in the year on PPV before quickly relinquishing it, not before Matt Striker excitedly reminded the audience that they were witnessing a throwback to Bryan's past.
Presumably he was told to pack it in for good this time, as it was never seen again.
