10 Flops WWE Should Never Have Tried Again

2. A Giant Foe For The Undertaker

If you've never had the pleasure, fire up the WWE Network and see the quite jaw-dropping furry monster crotch Giant Gonzales was packing at the 1993 Royal Rumble. In fairness, his debut was impactful. A non-entrant, Gonzales invaded the match and smacked The Undertaker around like he was King Kong.

Sound familiar?

It should. In 2006, The Great Khali debuted in almost identical fashion by slapping 'Taker about on SmackDown and leaving him battered and destroyed. "Look at the size of this man!", announcers yelped. "I've never seen any man so physically huge", others said. The whole thing was a rinse and repeat gimmick from the well-rooted monster factory of 'Deadman' opponents.

Khali was only marginally better in-ring than Gonzales, and that might even be a stretch. He was practically immobile, couldn't work a match fans were interested in seeing and felt like an ill-needed throwback on shows dynamic, exciting stars like World Champ Rey Mysterio were working.
