10 Flops WWE Should Never Have Tried Again

1. A Doppelgänger Feud

SummerSlam 1994 had Bret vs. Owen Hart in a rip-roaring Steel Cage scorcher, Razor Ramon vs. Diesel in a sorely overlooked Intercontinental Title match and Alundra Blayze vs. Bull Nakano in quite the hidden gem of a Women's Title bout. The fact the show was headlined by The Undertaker vs. The 'Underfaker' was quite the let down then.

Surely, fans hoped, this kind of Halloween nonsense wouldn't happen again.

In 2006, 'Taker's kayfabe brother held his own doppelgänger nightmare by coming face-to-face with Kane from 1998. Now unmasked and more prone to electrocuting testicles than hiding his miraculously-healed facial burns, Kane was incredulous when Luke Gallows wearing a wig showed up to bring the pain.

After Kane from the past vanquished Kane from the present in a seven-minute match at Vengeance, '06 Kane (what is this, WWE 2K19?) tore off the imposter's mask and literally threw him out of the building 24 hours later on Raw. That ended the double do-over nobody asked for.
