Fandango hasn't had much to shout about inside the ring of late, but he may find himself celebrating come season's end in his capacity as a supporter of Everton.
No, you haven't time-travelled back to the 1980s. We're not suggesting that the Toffees are going to win the Premier League (a feat that became mathematically impossible back in August), but rather that maligned manager Sam Allardyce could get the sack.
In truth, it's actually kind of generous of us to imply that Fandango has any idea who Sam Allardyce is. The guy only became a fan of the Merseyside team four years ago when club officials caved into a social media campaign to play his theme music before a match.
At the least, he did follow up his sudden affection for the side by visiting Goodison Park and pulling on the famous blue shirt while being interviewed by a young fan. This was even chronicled in an article on WWE.com, which describes Everton as "one of his favourite soccer teams".
