8. Sycho Sid - Raw 2012
In one of the more surprising returns to WWE in recent history, the reappearance of Sycho Sid in June 2012 was as shocking as it was awesome.
Having not appeared in WWE since 1997, the former two-time WWE Champion and two-time WrestleMania main eventer made a one-off appearance in the ring to answer the challenge of Heath Slater.
At the time, Slater had been berating legends of the industry in a similar vein to how Randy Orton and Rob Conway had done in the past. Naturally, this would lead to his legendary comeuppance at the 1000th episode of Raw; however, before that, it gave a number of veterans a chance to work off some ring rust and hand Mr Slater a solo beating.
The deep voiced pop that greeted his entrance proved that the hardcore fans of old hadn't forgotten him and his decimation of Slater thereafter was a welcome sight. Sid appeared to be just as psycho as ever, laying his opponent to waste with a classic powerbomb, to chants of "Sycho Sid" as he celebrated.
