10 Forgotten TNA Wrestlers You Totally Don't Remember

5. Dakota Darsow

If you're a keen wrestling historian who spots surnames like a hawk (hawks, eagles - what's going on here?), then you'll notice that Dakota Darsow is long-time NWA/WCW and WWF stalwart Barry Darsow's son. WWE gave Dakota a developmental deal in 2009, but things didn't work out and they'd released him by 2009.

Naturally, he ended up in TNA a few years later.

Darsow played his part in the earliest knockings of the Gut Check concept by trying his hardest to earn a TNA contract during matches on TV. He'd lose out to Zema Ion (current WWE man Joaquin Wilde) at the first hurdle, but TNA wasn't quite finished exploring what Smash's boy could offer them.

His final appearance came in 2012. Ironically, it was Ion who beat him yet again, albeit this time in less than 3 minutes. Dixie Carter lost interest in booking Dakota after that, and he hit the independents. Darsow's last match happened in 2018, so it's safe to assume he's given up on wrestling.
