Ready for back-to-back ex then future WWE star goodness in TNA? You got it.

Crash Holly was everywhere in 2000. He was king of the WWF's Hardcore Title division, and endeared himself to fans by evading the outlandish 24/7 rule in countless inventive skits. People really liked lil' Crash, but the character definitely had a shelf life. By 2003, he'd become one of Matt Hardy's followers before being let go that June.

TNA made their move to sign him in July, but they'd have to come up with a fresh character for Holly. That's why he became Mad Mikey, an irate little spitfire who got angry at pretty much everything around him. If you're noticing a trend here, it's 'cause Mikey had a fondness for playing the underdog - heel or babyface.

Mad Mikey didn't stick around for long. The character disappeared from TNA's weekly pay-per-views in October, then Mike Lockwood sadly passed away in November. He was only 32 years old when he died, which is awful. His death obviously overshadowed his brief TNA run and is why nobody brings it up.
