10 Forgotten WrestleMania Gems

2. Chris Jericho vs. Christian - WrestleMania XX

Women have been the root of many a falling out between friends and that was the case when Chris Jericho and Christian split in early 2004 and embarked on a heated, intensely personal rivalry. Trish Stratus was the subject of Y2J's affection and Christian, recognizing that the blonde bombshell from Toronto was driving a wedge between them, violently assaulted her, then attacked Jericho and left him with an injured knee ahead of their scheduled WrestleMania bout. The actions of Captain Charisma not only helped establish him as one of the most despicable heels on the roster, it also added a personal edge to the feud. Inside the historic Madison Squared Garden, Jericho and Christian waged war, delivering a match full of hold-and-counter hold wrestling. Christian understandably targeted Jericho's established injury but Y2J summoned the intestinal fortitude to continue the match and nearly defeated his good friend-turned-bitter rival. Then Trish made her presence felt at ringside. She cheered on Jericho before finding herself dragged into the ring by Christian. Recovering from a nasty shove, she accidentally elbowed Jericho, allowing the vile villain to roll him up and score the win. After the match, in a shocking turn of events, Trish slapped Jericho and revealed a relationship with Christian, sealed with a passionate kiss as a dejected Y2J watched from inside the squared circle.
