10 Forgotten WrestleMania Gems

7. WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy - WrestleMania XIX

WrestleMania XIX is a show with so many great matches, and so much all-time great talent, that it is easy to forget a match like Rey Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. The night's opening match, the contest featured the dynamic underdog Mysterio attempting to wrest the title away from the egomaniacal, somewhat delusional Matt Hardy. To do so, he would not only have to defeat the quite capable Hardy, he would also have to fend off the pestering Mattitude Follower (MFer, for short) Shannon Moore, who repeatedly stuck his nose in the match. The sequencing was phenomenal, the nearfalls dramatic and Mysterio's flashy offense had the fans in Seattle enthralled throughout. Ultimately, it was Hardy and Moore who worked together to put Mysterio away, much to the dismay of fans and commentators alike, both of whom seemingly wanted to see the masked luchador, clad in his Daredevil -inspired ring gear, score the big victory.
