10 Forgotten WWE Matches That Had To Follow Something Infamously Terrible

1. World Championship Battle Royal Following Boogeyman Eating The Growth On Jillian Hall's Face

Pity the poor WWE.com staffers that had to come up with a way to make Kurt Angle's out-of-nowhere World Championship win seem greater than or at least equal to the segment it followed when promoting the blue brand the day after airing.

Angle's jump from Raw and eventual victory in a battle royal for the vacant top title came after Batista's tearful vaction of the prize earlier in the show. Or because of it, most likely. Mindful that 'The Animal' was set to surrender, a surprise scoop for The Olympian was a standard over-delivery for the live crowd if nothing else.

It was a pretty damning indictment of the lack of believable challengers on the brand, but then with storylines like the one that preceded the match itself, was it any wonder?

Newcomer The Boogeyman bit a ginormous cartoon growth off of the side of Jillian Hall's face. That was the whole thing, but it was a wonder the battle royal actually followed - McMahon probably thought this gross-out comedy was p*ss funny and easily worth the price of admission.
