10 Forgotten WWE Matches That Had To Follow Something Infamously Terrible

2. Kane Vs Pat, Rat, Nat & Fat Hardy Following Diss The Diva

Fat Hardy
WWE

This is not a dril.

Raw was the wild f*cking west in 2004. Still struggling with a post-Attitude Era identity crisis regardless of what that Ruthless Aggression documentaries might suggest, the show was a mix of decent wrestling that moved away from the Russofiction of the in-ring product and the worst creative excesses of the former head writer.

Such was the case when Kane emerged on an August Raw to reveal that slave bride Lita was soon going to be carrying his baby, but not before he did some sh*tstain WWE comedy with some jobbers decked out in Matt Hardy gear to mock her then-partner after he'd shelved him at SummerSlam. Look, the names rhyme.

The match sucked because of course it did, but but The Rock and Steve Austin would have struggled to claim any headlines after what had preceded it. This show - this weird, weird show - along with everybody's time and probably a censor's job, had been stolen by Diss The Diva.

The segment was bananas. They spoke of "whores" and "gaps so wide you could fit a truck through" and, most notably, "burping c*m". Suddenly, "words that rhyme with Matt" wasn't exactly the near-the-knuckle content they'd imagined it to be.
