10 Forgotten WWE Matches That Had To Follow Something Infamously Terrible

9. Rob Van Dam Vs. Big Show Vs. Jeff Hardy Vs. Chris Jericho Following Hot Lesbian Action

It seems impossible that Monday Night Raw could be as unwatchable and creatively bankrupt as it was at times during 2002, not least considering the scale and depth of the talent available to the company following the 2001 collapse of WCW and ECW.

With the war over, Vince McMahon suddenly needed to remember how to produce good content under less pressure. It became apparent how quickly he'd forgotten such an important skill.

"Hot Lesbian Action" still gets referenced as an all-time low for the red brand nearly two decades later because it's loaded with so many justified aspersions. It's a grim ratings grab that manifests as a bait and switch, delivers some gratuitous and dangerous male-on-female violence and even forces on-screen talent to suffer for the ills of those behind the curtain.

The Eric Bischoff character is the televised curator of this mess, whilst Rob Van Dam, The Big Show, Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho are expected to follow the chaos with a match that all of sudden feels too common-or-garden for the broadcast.
