10 Forgotten WWE Matches That Had To Follow Something Infamously Terrible

8. Kofi Kingston Vs Ted Dibiase Jr Following The Jerry Springer Show

The WrestleMania XXVI sign hanging in the background of Kofi Kingston and Ted Dibiase's painfully drab Raw match looked like it was placed there to mock them, even though they were both eventually booked for the show.

KofiMania was miraculous for a number of reasons, but it's astonishing Kingston escaped this period of the organisation without the scars to prohibit it.

The Guest Host era saw countless names of varying degrees of fame cycled onto the show to have The Bellas hang off their arms and Vince McMahon himself hang off their reflected "glory". Springer was involved in a long take on his television show, with a bunch of the usuals knocking together a segment where Hornswoggle was the father of Kelly Kelly's baby but not really lol here's Mae Young. You know the sort. It was the Elimination Chamber go-home show.

A moribund match couldn't have mattered less after such a putrid segment, with the surprise in Michael Cole's voice after Dibiase pulled out the win simply too obvious to hide. When a well trained company mouthpiece that has the result written in front of him doesn't believe it's actually happened, you're probably on to a loser.
