10 Former Stars Who Would Have Been Perfect For WWE's Women's Revolution
4. Gail Kim
Before the Women’s Revolution was a sparkle in the WWE advertising team’s eye, there was a company already proving that women were more than capable of stealing the show (as if it was ever in doubt.) Over in the much-maligned TNA, Gail Kim and Awesome Kong were tearing down the house.
It was a feud that put TNA on the map and played a large part in why Kim went into their Hall of Fame at Bound For Glory this year and yet apparently didn’t do enough to convince WWE. Returning there for the second time (her first run, despite winning the title on her debut, never really took off) she quickly found herself lost in the shuffle. She would, like most of the women on the roster at that time, even have the joy of losing to Santino Marella in the Miss WrestleMania battle royal at WrestleMania XXV.
Her second run in the company came to an end when Kim eliminated herself from a Battle Royal, presumably fed up with her treatment. All in all, it was a massive waste of an incredible talent. You can only think that if Kim had rejoined the company today, those in charge might have taken note of how great those Kong matches were and placed her front and centre of the Women’s Revolution.
