1. Kaval
WWE had something really special in Kaval. The former Low-Ki routinely tore it up in Ring of Honor, TNA and in Japan for most of the 2000s before signing with WWE in January 2009 at the behest of fans and friends Batista and MVP, who really rated the martial-arts inspired grappler. Renamed Kaval, he got to work in FCW (where he missed almost a year due to a serious knee injury) before being chosen as a contestant on season two of NXT. The super-serious Kaval was given Team Lay-Cool as his pros, which seemed like someone's idea of a rib. Nonetheless, Kaval won the competition and a spot on the Smackdown brand in September 2010. Things looked good for Kaval to begin with. His performances were great and he was getting over. He cashed-in his guaranteed Championship match against Dolph Ziggler at the 2010 Survivor Series. He lost. Then he lost some more matches and then he was released on December 23rd. Since that time, the World Warrior has been plying his trade all over the world, fittingly enough. Were he to get his 'WWE opportunity' in 2015, not 2010, his hybrid style would have a much better chance of getting over and he could become a big star.
