10 Former WWE Failures Who Would Succeed In 2015

10. David Hart Smith

Harry Smith was pretty much always going to get signed by the WWE, considering he was the son of the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith and had strong ties to the Hart family, including WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart. Smith plied his trade on the indie, UK and Japanese circuits before joining the WWE team on April 4th 2006. Smith's first break on the main roster was wrestling as DH Smith on Raw. Two weeks after his October 22nd 2007 debut (a win over Carlito) he was slapped with a 30 day suspension for violating the Wellness Policy. It wasn't the best start, admittedly, but he eventually recovered as a member of the Hart Dynasty with Tyson Kidd and Nattie Neidhart. After their inevitable split and feud, Smith floundered for months before being released on August 5th 2011. He has admitted in interviews that he had lost his passion for wrestling towards the end of his WWE tenure, which is understandable when you look at how he was used. Since leaving the company Smith has managed to rebuilt his reputation in Japan. He's a much more polished performer than he was four years ago and would no doubt have a much better chance of success were he to return to the big leagues. Although Smith has signed a contract with mysterious Jeff Jarrett promotion GFW, he is only 29-years-old and could still have a good run in WWE yet.
