10 Former WWE Failures Who Would Succeed In 2015

9. Gail Kim

Has there ever been a female WWE performer more misused than Gail Kim? Kim had everything WWE could want in a diva and the company was initially impressed, booking her to win the Women's Championship on her debut match. Kim, who debuted with a Matrix-like gimmick and outfit, was off to a good star. The good start wouldn't last, however, as an ill-conceived heel turn, a collarbone injury and WWE writer apathy stunted her momentum. She had the potential to be something big but WWE went with the tried-and-tested Trish Stratus' and Lita's of the roster. Kim was released in November 2004, which came as a surprise to her. She had wanted to take the women's division in a new wrestling-oriented direction but the decision makers didn't care. Kim went to TNA where she proved to be a hell of a worker, having some incredible matches with Awesome Kong. WWE were clearly impressed and signed Kim again in late 2008. She finally made her re-debut in March 2009 but didn't really do a great deal over the next couple of years. Following her release in September 2011 Kim gave many interviews claiming that the divas were constantly being held back as well as vowing never to return to the company. So the odds of the 38-year-old showing up in NXT/WWE in 2015 are slim. She's currently working in TNA and is independently wealthy (her husband, celebrity chef Robert Irvine pulls in the millions, too). After accusing Vince McMahon of being sexist earlier this year it's doubtful WWE want her back, which is a shame. With her talent, she could be still contribute a lot to the product.
