10 Former WWE Midcarders Who Had Main Event Finishers
8. Billy Gunn (Fameasser)
Bad Ass Billy Gunn knew how to win in style. His excellent use of the Rocker Dropper, in which he would launch into the air and use one leg to push down on the head of his opponent while they are leaning forward, thus driving them face-first into the mat, has been adopted by several other wrestlers over the years, most recently Dolph Ziggler. Renamed the Fameasser to compliment his ass-obsessive gimmick, Gunn would perfect the move once utilised by Marty Jannetty to win multiple titles over his decorated career. He also had a fondness for the jackhammer, too, but a certain somebody over in the WCW was making waves with that particular move around the time he came to prominence and so the Fameasser was chosen as his finishing move instead. Later in his career, Gunn would switch to a different move (The One and Only) and the Fameasser would serve more as a signature than a finisher. His recent return to the ring has seen him once again using the Fameasser as his preferred finish. Following his recent firing for failing a drug test, you might be able to catch it on an indie show in the near future. Similar finishers used by more successful wrestlers: Scissors Kick (Booker T)
