10 Former WWE Midcarders Who Had Main Event Finishers

6. The Godfather (Pimp Drop)

The Godfather was best known for his colourful attire, fun-loving persona and opting to party on his €˜Ho€™ Train rather than any ability to square up to an opponent in the ring. However, when Godfather did knuckle down and get to business, it was lights-out for anyone unlucky enough to taste his Pimp Drop finisher, a devastating move. The Pimp Drop is another name for the Death Valley Driver, and before people tell me that John Cena uses the DVD week in and week out on WWE television, allow me to counter by saying he doesn€™t execute it the same way Godfather did (which, incidentally, is also the correct way). While Cena€™s Attitude Adjustment is basically a fireman€™s carry into a slam, the Pimp Drop takes everything that€™s dangerous about the Death Valley Driver and runs with it, driving the unlucky recipients head and neck into the mat. It€™s incredibly high-risk. Later in his career the Godfather would utilise other moves as a means to finish an opponent, but at one point the Pimp Drop was one of the most fearsome finishing moves in the company. For a comedy midcarder, NOT a main eventer.
