10 Former WWE Stars Who Have Flourished In AEW
7. Bryan Danielson
Guess what? It turns out, the man many believe to be the best wrestler in the world, is the best wrestler in the world.
That's obviously subjective, but there is no denying that Bryan Danielson should be in any conversation when it comes to the best performer in this crazy world we all know and love. Even in WWE, as Daniel Bryan, he proved he was undeniable.
Despite the blockades originally put in his way, Danielson enjoyed an incredibly fruitful run in WWE, and when he allowed his contract to expire, he went out on his back, gave Roman Reigns the honour of "ending his WWE career", and left with nothing but good words to say.
He didn't have anything to prove, but his first year in All Elite Wrestling has been, at times, breathtaking. From his instant classic with then-World Champion, Kenny Omega, to his phenomenal title match with Hangman Page, the American Dragon inserted himself as an instant threat to the entire roster. Whilst unsuccessful, he spun off into a rivalry with Jon Moxley that spawned the phenomenal Blackpool Combat Club, and he's currently helping Daniel Garcia ascend to the top of the card.
The man is a genius. In the ring and on the mic, and best off all, we get to watch as people get their f***ing head kicked in.
