10 Former WWE Stars Who Have Surprisingly Normal Jobs

5. Spike Dudley

Spike Dudley came along at the right time and in the right place. In ECW, the diminutive Matt Hyson was able to excel under the tutelage of Paul Heman, who was a master of accentuating a wrestler's positives and hiding their negatives. As the littlest Dudley, Spike had a great five years with the Philadelphia-based company before moving on to the WWE in 2001. He did very well in WWE, too, becoming a firm fan favourite and having a memorable Cruiserweight Title run in 2004. Spike's last appearance for the WWE was at One Night Stand 2005, where he performed a run-in and helped the Dudley Boys win their main event match. He was let go due to cost-cutting measures.
After that, he dabbled on the indies and spent a couple of years in TNA. Thankfully, he avoided the never-ending, exploitative ECW reunion circuit and instead adjusted to a normal life. Hyson, who had been a third grade English teacher before entering the wacky world of wrestling, became a financial planner and started a family with his wife, Vikki.
