While not technically under contract with WWE at the moment, Chris Jericho comes and goes so often that it's difficult to not consider him part of the roster. His most recent runs with the company have been hit or miss depending on who he's feuding with, but regardless of his rival, he is still very capable of producing a great match. He also has a track record for putting over younger talent, so there's no need to fear when he's placed in programs with rising up-and-comers that they will get "buried." Granted, Sheamus can hardly be considered a "young" talent having been on the main roster for nearly six years, but he's still a fresher face than Big Show or Kane.(who should be nowhere near the main event scene in 2015). Plus, he and Jericho have never engaged in a one-on-one rivalry. Any time they've done battle, they've always had excellent chemistry, meaning the matches they could have would be worth them feuding alone. Nevertheless, if they're looking to build Sheamus back up as a dominant heel, Jericho is an ideal babyface for him to engage a feud with. Y2J knows how to make his opponents look good in defeat, but when he puts them over, they score a win over a seasoned veteran and earn credibility in the process. It remains to be seen when we'll be seeing Jericho on WWE TV next, but a rivalry with Sheamus could exceed expectations.
