10 Fun Facts About My Trip To The 25th Anniversary Of WWE WrestleMania

6. Kid Rock's Mini Concert

WrestleMania is synonymous with celebrities performing and appearing on the show and The '25th Anniversary' was no different. It was announced that Kid Rock would be performing at the event. The previous summer he'd released the Lynyrd Skynyrd-like hit 'All Summer Long' but, apart from that, the mainstream audience watching might not know a lot of his music. One of the theme songs for WrestleMania was 'So Hott', so me and my buddies figured he might turn up to sing that. As Kid Rock started to sing, the audience were cool with it, but when he got to song number two in his medley, people in our section were VERY angry that 'Mania was being interrupted by this "wannabe rapper". It didn't really bother me, although I wish this ten minutes had been added to Austin's Hall of Fame speech (yes, I'm still bitter). Finally, as Rock was belting out 'So Hott' all the divas came out for the 25 Diva Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal. The company had advertised that former Divas like Sunny, Torrie Wilson, Victoria and Molly Holly would be a part of the show. But since all the women had to come out and slut drop Kid Rock on the way to the ring, it was hard to make out who was who when we were in the stadium. My main memories of Kid Rock are him making me bop my head, wish I'd gone to the bar and ruining the Divas' entrances all within a 10 minute window. I shouldn't say anymore though, because he'll probably be in the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame before long.
