10 Fun Facts About My Trip To WWE WrestleMania 23

1. Undertaker And Batista Steal The Show

Going into The Showcase of the Immortals, we all knew that Shawn Michaels would give John Cena his best WrestleMania match so far and that the Trump/McMahon saga was going to provide a lot of entertainment and serve its purpose as an attraction. But their was a big question mark was over the other main event of Batista defending the World Title against The Undertaker. Would the match be any good? Could they pull out a classic? Would The Streak be broken? After the elaborate 'Taker entrance, the match was on and the two big men went at it from the beginning of the bout. Batista had returned from injury in late 2006 and hadn€™t really had any great matches since his return, while 'Taker had been lumbered with Mark Henry and Kennedy feuds. To say this one could have went either way is an understatement. As the match progressed, people were genuinely torn between the upstart champion Batista and The Deadman. With awesome power moves, an excellent brawl/exchange on the outside and some great false finishes that had you on the edge of your seat, 'Taker and Batista managed to steal the show on that night. Undertaker won his first World Heavyweight Championship and Batista proved to the critics that in a big time situation, he was a great performer. Seeing this surprise classic was my favourite part of the whole trip.
