10 Fun Facts From My Trip To WWE WrestleMania XXVII

As we get ever closer to WrestleMania 32, I'm back with my latest look back at my annual WrestleMania trips. This time I'm going to talk about my journey to Atlanta, Georgia back in 2011 to see the return of The Rock, the battle between Undertaker and Triple H, Randy Orton taking on CM Punk and a whole lot more. I had spent all my money on the trip to Atlanta so there was no trip to New York this time. That meant no pre-WrestleMania press conference or travelling to another state to see the post-WrestleMania SmackDown. There was plenty to do in Atlanta, though, and it would end up being one of my favourite WrestleMania host cities due to the friendly people, good layout and great bars. As always there was plenty of festivities in the week leading up to the event in order to keep me occupied. I did end up going to Axxess again, but after you've been once, it's all very similar, so it would be hard for me to make "I went to Axxess again, it was good" interesting. This particular WrestleMania was probably my most highly-anticipated Mania event to date. The buildup was fantastic for most of the top matches (Cena/Miz/Rock, Taker/HHH, Punk/Orton, Lawler/Cole, Rey/Cody) so there was a high bar to live up to. I was never a huge fan of the Edge and Alberto Del Rio rivalry so it doesn't make it into the list but, in hindsight, it was good to be able to see Edge's final match live - although I can't lie, the contest itself just doesn't stick out in my mind as particularly memorable. But I digress...
