10 Fun Facts From My Trip To WWE WrestleMania XXVII

10. WrestleMania Art - The Sequel

WrestleMania Art was so much fun in Phoenix that as soon as tickets went on sale for the event in Atlanta we made sure to snap some up. Jerry Lawler was back again and we were mingling with stars like Vickie Guerrero, Booker T and a new to WWE Daniel Bryan. I had drank a few too many cocktails the year before and ended up chatting to Vickie Guerrero for a long time. We chatted again at the 2011 show, too, and I can say she is genuinely one of the loveliest people on the roster, taking time to talk to everybody and thank them for coming. As you can see above, I have this memento of me and Ezekiel Jackson where he looks like I've just told him his house is getting repossessed. What a nice fella. The art show involved an auction to raise money for charity, which is a great idea. The dangerous part of the it is that you could bid on wrestler art after you'd had a few cocktails. I'm usually the impulse buyer of my group of friends. After all, I am the guy who got drunk at home and bought a Monday Night RAW commemorative chair on ebay for $300 (and when I realised what I'd done in the morning, had to plead with the seller to cancel the sale). Anyway, my friend Dan got a bit tipsy and ended up paying $100 for one of Vickie Guerrero's "Cougar" necklaces and my other buddy, Mike, got chatting to Curt Hawkins and because he was a nice guy, Mike decided to pay $250 for a Hawkins original painting of Shawn Michaels. Here it is. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. Baffling. Poor Mike.
