10 Funniest Wrestling Moments Of 2018

4. Zack Sabre, Jr. Fills A Plot Hole (With Banter)

Zack Sabre, Jr. wrestles a style of immaculate realism, which may bring to mind images of dry, technical exhibitions. He doesn't wrestle dry, technical exhibitions: Zack Sabre, Jr. wrestles a perfect manifestation of pro wrestling, in that he fuses the suspension of disbelief and entertainment value remits better than any other practitioner on the planet.

He's also really funny.

Difficult to pick just one, the Hairy Wrestling fan helpfully produced a super cut recently, in which ZSJ variously employs a flippant, deadpan brand of savagery at the expense of the various "d*ckheads" and "jokes" and "trombone-legged pumpkin spice lattes" he gruesomely tapped out en route to the top of the New Japan card.

Best of all was his incredulous reaction to Kota Ibushi's lunatic balcony moonsault.

"I'll move!" he reasoned, in such a way that he didn't highlight the logic gap but rather blamed those who took it as being "morons". There's a brilliant, almost Seinfeldian exasperation to this breach of wrestling etiquette. Zack Sabre, Jr. is essentially a George Costanza/Tatsumi Fujinami mash-up.

A funny, Twin Peaks-loving socialist who also happens to be an unreal professional wrestler, there's a strong argument that Sabre, Jr. is the Greatest Man That Ever Lived. Sorry, Austin Aries.

You can be Angriest.
