8. Jumpin' Jeff Farmer

It could easily be argued that this shouldn't be listed - everybody has seen it several times. The thing is, though, is that it never grows old.

Poor Jumpin' Jeff Farmer, at least on the evidence of this infamous promo, might not have merely been in the most unsuitable line of work possible - it's likely that no one person has ever been so spectacularly mismatched with a profession. A wrestler by definition is meant to be intimidating.

Even your classic underdog is meant to show a little bit of fire, even if they're slightly deluded in doing so. Farmer however looks positively frozen at the mere presence of a TV camera. If the promo wasn't dead on arrival at the sight of his terrified expression, his jovial use of 'Yip!' launches it over the edge of a cliff.

With diction almost satirically wooden - 'You've got me. Mad now', 'Now I'm. The one doin' the challengin' - Farmer, bless him, is so far away from Ric Flair that he might as well be his latest tax return. His closing gambit, in which he professes to go at Motley Cruz with 'full force', is the best last-gasp laugh since the end of Some Like It Hot.
