7. Adam Cole
Rumours of expiring contracts may have been just that but when Adam Cole’s current deal does come to an end you’ve got to think AEW would give him an option away from WWE.
The Undisputed Era leader has achieved everything there is to achieve in NXT. Mostly recently he kicked Pat McAfee’s ass for calling him short. Sadly the same tactic won’t work when Vince McMahon does the same thing on the main roster. Vince’s preference for tall guys? That’s undisputed.
Meanwhile, Dustin Rhodes and Billy Gunn weren’t particularly noted for their height in WWE but both tower over much of the AEW roster. You’ve got to imagine a gifted worker like Cole would thrive in an environment where talent and charisma matter more than feet and inches.
Plus it would be great to see Cole and Dr. Britt Baker hold all the gold as AEW’s new power couple.
